What size is the harmonic balance bolt? And thread count. I need to tap the end of the crank. I used the bolt to "press" the balancer on. Apperantly it was cross threaded, thought it was fine. Nope. 360 1988 auto.

don't be too hard on yourself, pretty much all of us have done it, and the "proper tool" I have doesn't fit with the radiator in place. I use some 1/2"-20 all thread so I can get it all the way into the crank, then tap the balancer with a brass mallet while I crank down a nut to seat it. Double nut the all thread out and install the bolt.
