Totally period incorrect, but I want these lights...

Post by 243 »

Saw a Challenger yesterday with turn signals in the headlights, thought it pretty cool. Searched the 'tube and found these, downside is replacements when the random stone blacks and eye. Simple halos would work too.

There's cheaper versions of those lights for us round-eyes. google "H6024 LED" and you'll get 50 results for H4 housings with the LED surrounds and only ONE H6024 that's fully LED (what I was looking for). the LED surrounds even come in a bazillion colors, if that's a thing you like. ;)

3/4 resto, rotting faster than I've been fixing it.

For the long haul, I will likely end up with Hella H4 e-codes and maybe a 5000k HID kit.

The Hella's were rated best of I believe 10 H4 conversion housings.

Lighting is about performance but I do care about the appearance, this looks good to me but I definitely prefer white halos.

This happened to be the first image that caught my eye searching "H6024 LED"

Totally. I was looking for the LED headlights that are being retrofitted into all the military Humvees when I got out of the Army a few years back:

but can't find them as drop-ins for the H6024. Only full LED headlights I could find were goofy tuner looking things.

I still have really good eyes so I'm just gonna rock the regular Silvanias for the road with aux lights off road when I need them.

Just buy some led strips and 3m double side tape em on or inside your headlight rings and run to a wireless controller.

Probably less than $100 and can have any color you want, any brightness, and can even flash to the beat of music.....

I am finding that HID may not work well at all in halogen housings like the Hella conversion. A few months ago I flashed my lights at an oncoming driver on a country two-lane thinking they had the high beams on and when he flashed me back I was stunned by the light, never in 40 years of driving have I experienced that intensity of light on the road, I don't want that to be like that dick.

Maybe something like this off Fleabay, in 35w rather than 55w hi-lo similar in appearance to the lights above in the Chevy would be better with HID.

Like I said, I want good light before looks.

I know! I can't stand people with blue tinted headlights, too. Blue wrecks everyobody elses night vision! I honestly think there should be safety inspections instead of emissions visuals where they check the alignment and temperature of peoples headlights.

Not sure what lamps they run but has the turn signals built in. Was thinking of running something like this on my boobie setup and putting fog lights where the "boobies" go....

REDONE, headlights were checked for TX safety inspections years ago, probably a good move to skip the check now. The robots can't scrape the old sticker off properly before they slap a new sticker on the glue residue, I would not want them touching the headlights.

I think these lights would be cool in the boob grill, good idea!
