The Falcons strong point is in the rocks. Anything besides that and they are only average. But for pure rock crawling, they do surprisingly well.Cataldo wrote:I am running the new BFG KO2's and love them. So far they are the best off road tire I have run, I have run the Falcon Wildpeaks and was less than impressed with them, Not that they were not a good bang for the buck tire, but the KO2's have proven to be superior in every aspect.
We owned a set of the AT3s on my Wife's Liberty. They were awesome. Great on the street, really good in the snow, and did fine on the dirt. It never saw rocks or the like as it was a Liberty, but we were very happy with them.Matt24601 wrote:Haven't actually driven on them yet but I bought a set of the Cooper Discoverer AT3s based on their review.

Yeah wearing fast is typical fore tires with softer compounds. Softer compound means better traction, but less tread life.Cataldo wrote:Stuka, you are correct, I never took them into the rocks, but everywhere else they were average, not bad by any means, just eh. And they seemed to wear fairly quickly too.
Those AT3's do look good.
The Pro is a good tire, they will be my next tires.aquickxj2sj wrote:I've been running 35x12.50x15 Cooper Discoverer STT's on my Xj for the past 2 sets of tires now and absolutely LOVE them. I've tried all the name brands over the years and nothing has even come close to lasting as long with great street manners and off road durability. Great in every situation I've put them in. They will definitely be what's going on my 88 Grand Waggy when I get it on the road. I'll actually be trying there new STT Pro though for the Waggy.
