My first fsj build. 84 GW. Help in NC?

Post by fasttalker27 »

Hey guys. My first post here. I joined the isfja forum by can't seem to get activated.
I recently bought a neighbors 84 GW and am looking to build it into the ultimate off-road and weekend hunting/fishing/duckboat pulling vehicle.
First order of business is a 4" lift and 32's. I am building this with my young boys (11, 9 and 6) to teach them some mechanical skills.
I will certainly have LOTS of questions as I know nothing about jeeps. I have restored a few vehicles and tractors but never a jeep. Hope you guys don't mind the questions.
Anyone in the NC Piedmont area willing to give us some advice?ImageImage

Started to rip out the interior panels and carpet and found the high lift jack, base and tire iron in the original bag behind the passenger side rear panel. It doesn't look like it is ever been used in 31 years! Also found the round pin trailer wire adapter in there. I am assuming this is OEM from the factory??
