I reversed the shackles on the rear of my 68 wagon for a cheap lift. Problem is one side keeps flipping back on one side under normal operation. Anyone have any suggestions other than new 6in lift springs.

I think if I installed longer shackles in the rear it would increase the radius enough to prevent flipping the shackle in the wrong direction. Any issues with a longer shackle in the rear in the flipped position? Maybe it is axle wrap causing it. I am also wondering if a track bar would possibly stop the tendency. I just don't get why one side flips and the other doesn't unless one leaf has more arch left in it that the other. Thanks serhil that is what I was thinking was a longer shackle to resist the tendency to flip. I unfortunately just finished welding in my spring perches after setting pinion angle and longer shackles will change pinion. Drats!
