Shagoneer, they started putting a standard transmission in them in 2014. I wouldn't mind one of the later ones, they still go for quite a bit used or we would have got one.

I'm confused, what did they start putting a stick shift in?

Patriots always had manual transmissions. I meant they put standard, NON-CVT, transmissions in 2014.

Yeah, before 2014 it was a 5sp manual or CVT. In 2014 and newer they have a 5sp manual or 6sp automatic. But the manual is junk, you don't want one. The 6sp auto is the best transmission option for them.

Well, Just ordered a 2018 Cherokee Trailhawk. Patriot has been a good little car, took it places it probably shouldn't have gone but I never got stuck much. But it was just too small and not capable enough off road. Very good vehicle for around here, great in the snow, great on dirt and gravel roads to campsites, but even with good tires not really a true off road vehicle.
