I spotted a decent looking 75-76 Chief parked at a repair shop in Cedar Ridge, CA (About 10 miles from Colfax on Hwy 174) Saturday. Orange and white with burgundy interior. Camera batteries were dead so I couldn't get a picture.

This is a little funny. Wife and I are coming home from taking the dogs to the park yesterday. Out of nowhere she offers that we should drive around a little and see if we can find that nice looking waggy she's spotted several times near our apartment. I swear, her Jeepdar is better than mine! We make a few random turns through a neighborhood of houses and whatdoyaknow... There it is!!! She swears she had no idea and I believe her.

Crazy!

Beat I can do is on the way home from Ouray as I'm rolling through Hartsel I spot a J truck. It was way off the road in a field, with other stuff parked around it. Not sure how I even spotted it but I was able to slam on the brakes and grab a bad pic.

Saw these two next to my school. One is at a 4x4 shop, the Willys just in someone's driveway.

Currently without an FSJ, relying on a baby Jeep and a mustang, until I find a J Truck or M715 I want.

Not jeeps, but worth a mention after turning down a dusty side road:

Another one in the background:

The pit bull on the chain nearly jumped into my driver's side open window. The chain stopped it just in the nick of time. good times, good times.

As long as they are bonded to you they are fine. Like most breeds. My Boxer is the same. Does not like strangers. Loves kids.

And smart enough to read too!
Back when I was in good shape I used to run through my neighborhood. One day I got chased by 4 dogs for about 3 blocks. Next running day the same group chased me about 3 blocks. While it improved my run time, I went back later to talk to the people who lived there about their dogs being loose. Nobody there and only saw 2 dogs. Couple days later I went back again and still nobody home. No dogs to be seen. Looked in the window and nobody lived there. Next day I'm running by and only one dog is around and starts following me. Not really chasing, just trotted along begid. Get home and hop in the shower. After I get dressed I notice the dog is on my porch. Go make friends with him, check for a collar and such. Nothing. He was mostly skin and bones so I take him to the vet. No chip and he was pretty malnourished. Said screw it and let him adopt me. He went from a haggard, 38# dirty street dog to a loving 98# beast who was one of the best dogs I've ever had. He was albino and his red eyes scared everyone but I never saw him raise a hackle or be aggressive towards anything but squirrels. He really hated squirrels for some reason.
Sadly, when I went back in the army I had to leave him with the girlfriend of the time. We broke up and since I didn't have a career that let me be fair to keep a dog I left him with her. As far as I know he's still happy and healthy but since we don't talk... *Shrugs*

Hey, You didn't abandon him. You are a good boy too! All of my dogs came to me some how or another. The Black GSD scares the poop out of some people. But she loves everyone. Little kids come right up. She loves them the most.Image
