Seat Belts for 64 Waggy

Post by rstep »

Okay guys any one have pic's of rear seat belts for early rigs. They were an option back then and Mari wants to install some and I'm not going to butcher the waggy to do it.The front is attached by what looks like j-bolts or u-bolts.
Any idea's?

Wow, I have never seen rear seat belts in a 60s Wagoneer.

I found them in the parts catalog
They are attached on the floor not on the body sides, by the same kind of bolts that the front belts
For three passengers, only waist belts no shoulder

Not sure if it's relevant, my 1968 wag is set up for rear seat belts. Both front and back have an A shaped chrome bracket that gets bolted directly to the floor with 5/16 (i think) bolts into threaded holes. I'd post pictures of the rear mount, but I have since removed the seat and aftermarket belts. Still have the ultra-cool chrome jeep ones in front! I'm due to replace the worn straps though.

My '75 just had the rear belts go into the floor. I would think it would be pretty easy to install in even an earlier wag. The outside belts may have gone into the fender. I would have to dig up photos.
