TIG is a pretty clean process, I had a heck of a time welding my D208 rear housing that had a crack in it from all the ATF contamination.
Looks to be a hard spot to get a TIG torch into also.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that they can weld itfor you.
Yeah, I'm kinda worried about that too.

It wouldn't be a problem if it was steel and I was able to use the MIG.

I'll try to take it down there today and see what happens...

I took the case by the welding shop - they were super busy and couldn't weld it right then, but should get to it today....

Also picked up some scrap tubing and flat bar for future fabrication :D

well crap.

AA called and said the flexplates are on backorder and won't be in for at least another 3 weeks. So I cancelled the order and need to rethink the build.

so I have a good 401 in the J20 and a bad 360 in the waggy. hmmmm
