I have an 85 Grand Waggie, currently painted flat black (previous owner) but it was of course a piss poor job. The door jams and under hood and well even under the chrome trim is all still tan. There is still some remains of the old woody stickers on the inner door. I have the old Rhino grill on it. What I can't decide on is if I'm going to go back tan and order some woody stickers, or if I'm going to go tan and black out all the trim (not a fan of chrome).
Personally, I'd leave it out of the crate. Tan with black trim should look pretty good IMO, with one question. Glossy tan or flat tan? FSJ's look pretty good shiny I think.
Glossy tan, black window & headlight trim, black door handles, black grill. The only think I wouldn't paint black is the round Jeep badge on the grill.
