It runs and moves, but doesn't stop. The motor sounds good, but it's running rough. The carb need to be gone through, as I figured. I'm probably going to outsource that job. Runs up to 60 psi gold and around 15 psi at hot idle. Not that bad for a Buick 350. I still need to time it after I get the carb right. For now the dizzy is clocked "about the same as my 71" so the timing is probably way off. Lol.
I have no idea why you can hardly hear the truck running. The motor sounds pretty good. No noises or smoke. Exhaust is crap.
Now I have to get the brakes working and replace the alternator. I'm on the fence about replacing the Motorola or upgrading to a Delco like I did on my 71.
I gave in and am buying a 55amp Delco 3 wire tomorrow. Could have gone with a higher amp rating, but the truck is supposed to have a 55 so I figured why not.
Hey, nice going! I really like that original-looking dash color. It's like a dusty silver/gold blend.

You hit the nail on the head when you said "dusty". The entire interior is covered in a layer of mud dust.
And this is after I brushed and blew out the interior!
