These are J20 hub caps on a J4800.

I also have a set of J20 hub caps, but they are not in very good shape. Pretty much all the paint is gone and they are dented.

Flints caps are correct for all year J20's AFAIK. Never seen one on a 74 though. They are actually Dodge caps that Jeeps must have bought the rights to stamp. Only difference is the center where it is stamped Jeep VS. some sort of Dodge logo I'm not familiar with.

Pretty sure you are right Thomas. Those 2 hubcaps came off an 87 J20 tour tram that Mesa Verde NP retired and sold a few years ago.

I had never noticed a Jeep under one of these before. There used to be smaller versions of this built on CJ7s used in Key West. The operators liked the CJ7 platform a lot because of the tight spaces they traveled.

I remember you posting about that thing. Was it 4WD?

I just pulled all of my J20 caps and GM trim rings off the 71. Going to make some clips and run my full disc Kaiser era 16" covers again. Hopefully with the clips they won't fall off. Stupid radial tires.

Why yes it was. It was put in low range at the factory and no shifter on it. Can you imagine getting it in high range and go for a real ride? It had a 258/727/208 with less than 50k miles on it. That many miles in low range may have caused some tcase wear though.
