Welcome to the madness. That is a real booger to find new. I consider it made of unobtanium. It is not a motor but a dual diaphragm vacuum push/pull device for shifting in and out of 4wd.

You may have luck posting a wanted ad here: http://www.fsjnetwork.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=25
When getting a used one, I recommend you have the seller vacuum test it before sending money.

Or, replace it with a NP229 Twin stick:

We've sold close to 50 units already

Clearly. I love it when people don't believe me. I really don't give a ratsass what Wheeler Dealers did... This has not been available as a new part for a few years now. Even longer as a new Jeep part. Crown used to make them. Not saying it is impossible. You might get lucky if you search long and deep but I am back recommending a search for a working used one.

Good luck Cliff!

Sometimes you get lucky and find stuff. In May, I found a source that located 3 roller bearings for the QuadraTrac adapter that haven't been produced in many years. In 20012 I found one in the original AMC box on eBay. It just depends on how much effort you want to put into the search.

Will these fit on a 89GW? Also what kind of metalwork is needed if so?
