Wagoneer donor vehicles

Post by Pablo von Paco »

Is there an existing list of donor vehicles for a Wagoneer?

For example I know the GC seats will fit and there are parts from the J10 but what about the new 4door wranglers? Are the dimensions similar enough to swap out the dash, seats, etc?

What about the 2000-2004 Durangos?

When I put an XJ seats in a Wagon it set to high and there wasn't much room between the seat and steering wheel.
Not sure if the GC is any different.

Yes, the interior deminsions are the same. The dash, seats, door panels, some trim etc all change.

So the 4door Wranglers will work or were you referring to the 2002-2004 Durango?

Heres everything I've encountered

Seats YJ/Cj , late 2000-2004 Dodge Dakota/ Durango and pre 2006 pt cruiser are bolt in without welding

Heater blower: 1985 k10 blower with 1989 buick skylark wheel

Weatherstripping:
Outer window wipes: ZJ Grand cherokee inner wipes. These require a bit of trimming and the original wipes with rubber removed
Door seals: early 2000s ford explorer 2 door
Tailgate side channels: early 2000s ford explorer front door side channels

Direct fit parts from XJ cherokee:
Charcoal canister (early xj only)
TAC vacuum switch
Tailgate defroster switch (early xj only)
All steering column parts for 86+ wagoneer
1983 Cherokee Laredo. 360/ 727/ np228/ Junkyard 7427 TBI/ Msd ignition

- I have a charcoal canister from a ZJ.
- For the 1979 only interior dome light, the plastic light cover from 69-81 GM Cars (GM Part # 8780507)
- For the parking brake equalizer piece of bent metal: 1960-1981 GM (GM part numbers 6256437 and 1497525)
- For the earlier style manual mirrors, Ford Part # C5AZ-17696F (65-69 Ford cars)
- I've seen via an earlier write up, that for the water dam seal that sits on the body itself above the doors (not on the pinch weld), a 2000-2004ish Ford Windstar will work.
- Fuse Block Connectors for 64-72ish Chevelle. I got mine here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aww-500429
- Heater blower resistor from a YJ.
