Installing the Old TrailBlazer tank. Finally.....

Post by ghcoe »

Finally after 19 years I installed the TrailBlazer auxiliary tank in the Jeep. I am using two electric pumps. I have one way valves installed the tank lines to prevent the pumps from pumping fuel back into the opposite tank. One "on-off-on" switch changes the tank I am running on. So far working great except for some rust sediment that clogged my first filter.

Cool, now you can pass every other gas station!

BTW: Did you mean Blazer or TrailBlazer?

I think it was TrailBlazer, but I could be wrong.

Oh, hah. I was thinking of trailblazer the SUV, not Trailblazer the company that made auxiliary fuel tanks :)

I have one of these setups, just cleaned and lined the tank, but I need a new sending unit. Anyone know what Trailblazer used?

I wish i had one on my wagoneer.. ive been eye balling that big empty void in the back for aux tabk.. or to make a tool box.. cut the floor out and weld a compartment down there and put the floor back on with hinges to lift up abd lower.. that way i can store supplies down there and keep the trunk more open for more important things
