Wagonner Kayser 1968 into J10?

Post by cristian maranello »

Hello Friends,

I am here from Brazil and the FSJ are very rare, I found a Wagoneer Kayser 1968 and want to transform into a J10,
Could you help me please?
1) is easy to install the front grille of the Chief / j10 70's in the Wagonner Kayser?, is the same size?, Is it plug and play?
2) is there any concern besides reinforcement of chassis, since i would cut the bodywork and install an original or short box?
3) Any extra tips?

Hugs,
Cristian

Welcome to the forum!

The frame of a Wagoneer/Cherokee is very different from that of a J-Truck. The J-trucks (even short beds) are quite a bit longer longer a Wagoneer frame. So there would be no way to fit the bed (Unless you want a custom made flat bed or something).

The grills can be moved around between any years with a bit of minor work.

The cab will require new rear cab mounts to be welded to the frame. The front mounts are the same.
