So i find a wagoneer to pick in a jy online.. get there and find this..

Post by candymancan »

So i checked the websites i usually check like picka part in stafford and frederickburg in virginia.. and i find a 1990 just arrived on the 31st.

I get all my tools ready to pick parts and make some money... Drive 40 minutes down.

I get there and find this....... wtf

No axles. no roof. no seats. no doors. no top half of engines.. nothing.. but the hood ornament and 3 air vents.. (worth about 200$ so it wasnt too mucj of a waste)

Seriously ??? Why put this in the yard just crush it lol

On the other hand it did have a manual transmission.. Two sticks in fact not two what two is for..

Speaking of crushing...

I was in need of the circlip/snap ring thing that holds all the junk in the steering column. None of the yards in my area had a disassembled column but all we're willing to sell me one for $150. One of the multiple times I heard this I finally told the guy that if I had to buy a column I will get one I can use all of. So I asked for a tilt telescoping one out of an Oldsmobile. The bust out laughing and said they had crushed a nice toronado with a tilt telescope the day before. Asshats

There's still some decent parts on there for someone who needs them to fix or finish their rig and not just make a buck. Washer and coolant bottles are good examples. As are the door sill plates, hood latch, radiator, heater box, steering wheel, Nerf bars, cowl grille, valve covers, timing cover, oil pan, I could go on...and that's from just your picture. The rigs I part out I pick clean and try to save as much as I can. Someone will need it. Let nothing go to waste.
