Right of passage?

Post by Bones »

So, for all you long time FSJ guys. Is it me or is it common to hit your head on the hood latch (1988GW) pretty much every time you open the hood? I hope I learn sooner than later. The bright yellow doesn't seem to help me. HAHA!!!

I always thought the right of passage was the tailgate window repair.

With me, pretty sure it started when I 4 wheeled the family Nash through a fence and rose bushes when I was 3 or 4. Got a gashed head when I biffed off the dash. This started a trend with Nash, Rambler and Jeep head injuries that continue to this day. There's a hook?

I haven't done it myself, but I've watched my buddy do it several times and it seems he never learns.

I will let him know that it's normal next time he comes over....

I lifted mine high enough that my head can't hit it. :)

But yes, you have passed level 1. Soon you will be asking what the strap on the B pillar behind the passenger seat is for.

Hate that fracking latcj.. i hit my head on it more then once as well.

I also hit mt head often on those stainless door window visor things.. They stick out quiet a bit and ive hit my head on them too.

The door latch on the pillars ive also snagged my jackets in a few times.. specially my 300$ leather jacket... Pissed me off. I know im not alone in having shirts or jackets snagged in the pillar door latch

Ive found like 8 wagoneers and one cherokee in the Junkyard.. All of them had mint straps for the bench seat.. no one ever used them... Im curious why not ? It ismt fun to have the 70 lbs bench seat slam down lol.
