Good article, especially the fact that the resin is not water resistant... so Gel coat needs to be applied instead of painting.

Otherwise good luck fitting a whole shroud w top and bottom parts attached, especially that the bottom area is supposed to open to help cooling

tgreese wrote:Radiators4Less is a good seller, in that they will stand by the terms of the sale. However, I bought an aluminum replacement radiator for my J20 from their eBay ad and it did not fit. The terms of the sale from the eBay ad did not include return shipping if the radiator does not fit. This will be a significant expense if you need to return, something like $30-40. Buyer beware.

BTW the plastic and aluminum replacement radiator I bought from RockAuto fit perfectly and works fine.
Also BTW I have an original fan shroud that I repaired.

The shroud is open across the bottom, and the piece across the top was missing. I filled the gap with a piece of aluminum I had on hand. The pop rivets are for a semi-circular piece that fills the gap between the radiator top and the shroud. Seems to work fine.

I may have been one on ebay.. I had a fan shroud on there until like a week ago. I found it on a cherokee two door.. same engine same shroud though as all the Jeeps.. Was in amazing shape.. Sold it for 260$ less than a week ago.

My gw has its original fan shroud.. One of the previous owners repaired its broken three top secyions byt rivetting metal plates on it.

Worked out really good actually. Its a reason i opted to get greedy and sell the good non broken one since mine works if you dont mind rivets and metal plates.

Much better work than mine, I used roof flashing material that was laying around, after I rested the intake manifold on the shroud

Has any body thought about modifing a diffusor that is used for t-bar ceilings. They measure out at24" by 24". They have a very similar shape to a shroud but only have a 12" hole.
