Mine is a double groove clutch, vertical tube-o 1"x14. If this is the info I need, then I should have no issue tracing down the part :)

Atc.ca files have been a tremendous help on my project. There is also a pdf there for beadlock fittings. Are you using short drop 90 degree fittings? I will have pretty rebuilt my entire system by the time this is over, waiting on the evaporator and condenser to arrive.

Never heard of compression fittings in an AC system. The fittings you linked are o-ring. If your system is empty I'd remove one of the fittings and make sure that's what you have.

I just find it hard to believe that jeep kept the service fittings with the valves but redesigned them for o-rings rather than switching to something like you linked.

You need to look at what your compressor is and the ports. Everyone is saying “Jeep” but the compressor can both be a possible change during someone’s ownership and, at this time, nothing proprietary to Jeep.
Just removed a York expecting rotalock but it was tube O. from the outside they both styles look like your service valves but the only way to identify them is to look at the sealing surfaces.
This far into it, and as many times, you should just go through the entire system. The biggest PITA is removing the inside evaporator box.

I’ll post the link in a bit on how to identify rotalock and tube O but Here is the beadlock fittings link in the meantime

Ok here is the other link. Yes, it’s for a York but between this one and the sanden link you should be able to identify all the fittings you might encounter.

Oops. Now that X showed that link with the Rotalock fitting, that's what I remember my York having, not flare.

But did the Sandens have that?

From my several days of looking at various tech guide to assemble parts, don’t believe Sanden had those. But, we are making a lot of assumptions on the originality of system for a 28 yr old vehicle, hence the reason I say to overhaul completely.
Also, if trying to identify externally, not going to work. Have the same service valve in Howard’s picture, it’s tube O on mine but could be rotalock since the compressor is available in multiple types.

you need adapter rings to convert straight fittings you have to compression fittings that will fit you oem jeep hoses. Call jeepair.com for exact size. https://jeepair.com/fittings.html

I think this will do the trick. I wish there was a sure way I could measure the hose and compressor fitting to be sure. THANKS!!
