Well it has been some time since this thing has been seen anywhere but my driveway. I promise you all "I have been busting my chops on it." I actually rebuilt a 1406 that is now running on the engine, but there is no way to know if it is good until I install the exhaust. I just had to fight to install the altenator from the original 360 because I was overcharging and heating up the wire (pretty bad). It was reading 60 and above on the gauge. So I finally got it going now and hopefully I can get the exhaust in soon. My days are crap because of school and the next two weekends we are out of town. So it may be a litle longer... I really cant wait any longer, I want it to be on the road now! Here are a list of what I have done so far...
1. engine swap (2 to 4 brl)
2. TC swap (208)
3. TFI
4. Seats swap (mustangs)
5. Grill swap (boobie)
6. alternator swap 74 to 84 (to properly match harness)
7. new seals and u-joints on Drive shafts.
8. started the de-laminating process.
9. Steering column
10. door handle (1)
11. door cylinders
12. Steering wheel ( I had forgotten about this, the horn still does not work)
This may not be much to most of you but to me these are major milestones. Once I get going and funds become available I will start to do the really put the stuff that is in my brain on papper which may end up on the jeep. Thanks to everyone that has helped me so far, by suplying me parts, ideas, hands, encouragement and motivation. I am not done just a little beaten up but never going to give up. I have to keep going if I think I will ever think about owning another one
