Y Pipe

Post by 007 »

Does anyone make an off the shelf Y pipe for a 78 Cherokee with 360? Everything I find is for 1980 and newer.

It's a pretty standard size, you could probably get a universal pipe the right size from a pep boys or napa

I have had mine made at a local exhaust shop.

An exhaust shop should be able to fab one for several hundred dollars.

Exactly Ethan. :-bd

Just brain storming but this may be an alternative to consider. You could potentially buy a Y pipe to have the shop build in with whatever else you are having them work on the exhaust. Something like this...

Could use something like this too...https://www.summitracing.com/parts/jex-su4-4/overview/

I bought one for my '90 to rework the y-pipe, and get rid of the crappy driver's side smaller pipe and BEEPY restrictive union.
Of course this is not an option if you don't have a welder, or desire/ability to make one yourself.
