Pennsylvania Snow...

Post by d4xycrq »

More than they predicted...and more on the way. Not stopping until 0100 hrs. Despite the snow being heavy, The Green Goddess did fine. About 840 pounds of Ford tractor pie weights behind the wheel arches. Does wonders for traction.

Round two tomorrow morning.

Just read that they were keeping trucks off the turnpike because of the snow!
I used to have a cradle with 2 55 gallon barrels half full of water in my old F-100 add chains and it was amazing where you could go with only two wheel drive!

Bigun,

When you lift the plow on that puppy, the rear cantilevers up rotating around that front axle. I've spun the rear wheels even backing up a mild grade because of it. Those Ford tractor wheel weights keep that from happenin!

You've got much nicer weather in Mountainair, New Mexico, I bet!

We're not getting any up here in northern PA which is fine by me. I like the snow around Christmas but not in late March.

Hot dry and windy, almost no measurable moisture since around September last year!

I love Shepherds and Labs. We have a black Lab as well as a solid black Shepherd.

Snow, I only love once a year in a 4-7 inch accumulation.
