my car got the nose diving and actually i got my leaf springs under the axle with extended schackle and i plan to install leafs springs above the axle with the oem schackle.
any suggestions ?
I am a bit confused with the subject here. "wrong front leaf springs installation"
You can SOA that front axle. New spring perches need to be welded on top the axle. I am guessing that axle is the Dana 27. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around "Why keep the D27 closed knuckle axle for an SOA conversion?".
Doesn't the 63-73 Wagoneers have 2" wide springs and the 74-91 models have 2.5" wide springs? The extended shackle in the picture looks like it is for 2.5" wide springs and is squeezed in a bit to fit the width of the spring. That is kind of sketchy.
The short shackle on the BJs site will not fit your springs correctly.
I got 2.5 inch wide springs and Dana 27. Dana 27 are bad for a SOA ?
i m sorry, you are right the title of my post is incorrect. i thought that originally all wag got the SOA
OK, gotcha. I did some research and it was the Gladiators that had 2" wide springs on front, Wags were 2.5". So, maybe my perception of the long shackle picture is not correct. I retract my previous comment on the BJs short shackle. Your D27 is probably fine for the application. If I was 4 wheeling tires that size off-road, I would probably consider changing to an open knuckle D44 axle with disk brakes. It would have tighter turning radius, be less tedious maintenance and have improved braking ability. Just my $.02. Thanks
If I understand this correctly; those ebay shackles @ 52 bucks a pair...would give me a little lift at roughly 200 bucks? Now, would this be sufficient until I got some new springs all around? My leaf springs are pretty much flat....

I am not that good at math. Maybe on the front but they do not look much longer than the stock shackle. Not on the rear because those shackles point up and not down like the front. Longer shackles in the back will lower the rear end.
Extended shackles up front can alter caster to point of crappy steering. Also tends make them less stable due to shackles flexing more.
That was my experience with them anyway.
A pair of Add-a-leafs or you could use some good leafs from some other springs added to your spring packs.
Did a much better job of a little lift w/o the side effects.
Just my .02
OK, another option would be this Kit/Setup that I built. There is also an option to include a front receiver. This will lift your front end 2.5" and improve the ride. I have sold 50+ kits over the last 5 years. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-receiver ... 3c&vxp=mtr

That depends on how much lift you already have in the rear. By the picture, it looks like 4-6" and is at least partially block lifted. If you SOA the front, you should be able to compensate at the rear and level the Jeep out.
