So i sell gw parts on ebay and i sold a pair of really good shape trim plates. I put them in a small flat box that conformed their shape really well and there is no way they could moved.
Was only going down to nc as well one state down and got there in 2 days. The buyer emailed me back rude acting claimed my packaging sucked and all 4 corners on both plates are bent.. I find this HIGHELY unlikely for all 4 corners.. on both plates unless usps tossed it up in the air 20 times to somehow damage all 4 corners of the box.
I looled at my plates on my Jeep and all 4 corners are bent down at an angle... So this seems normal then to me and this rude guy can kiss my ass if thats the case but i need someone here to check for me please on their jeep

Yea im at a loss for what i should do... Either refuse his request and fight this.. Or accept it. But i feel like i shouldnt have to accept this request for a refund because clearly the item is not damaged.. Yet from what i read ebay usually always sides with the buyer... but i clearly have proof these are not bent.
I feel if they side with him and take money out of my account then i should proceed further and fight this. Crooks like this guy dont deserve to get away with things like this

Tell him ship them back on his dime, refund his money less shipping costs, relist them?
I’ve been selling parts online for over 10yrs.
Some folks ya just can’t please. They don’t want to pay fair prices, bitch about shipping costs, claim foul, etc. etc.
Yea i already accepted the return just now, but i called ebay and they told me once i get the item to take pictures of them side by side with my other ones, and if they find they arent bent, then the buyer will be reported as abusing the return policy and i will be refunded the shipping charges and he will be flagged as a buyer. They also told me once i get my item back to not hit the "send money" option. So i will have my money and my items back and if they find he was in the wrong then i win.
Yea he also complained about shipping charges, i charged $15 to ship, and thats mainly in case i have to mail to california ive charged before say 20$ to mail something and it ended up being 50 because im in Virginia.. So it costed me $9 to ship these plates and he paid $15.. He cried foul over that and refused to send better pictures and started cursing.
The guy from ebay looked at the pictures and agreed those corners look like my corners on my other plates. The buyer isnt complaining about them being flat on the table, hes crying about those slanted bends on the end.. He said all 4 corners are bent... Thats not possible for both to be bent on all 4 corners.. The corners have those slants already...
I will just relist them on ebay as you said lol. Im just really frustrated with this. I've sold hundreds of wagoneer parts and ZJ now and not once have i had issues. I guess well see when i get them in person if it is bent or not. Because his blurry pictures to me they look fine.

I called ebay back because he left nasty feedback which destroyed my 100% seller rating, and cried about shipping charges $15 for the plates. I wanted that feedback removed so i called ebay and they decided in my favour. They removed the feedback and also refunded me the $57. So i got my plates back and got 57$.. So ima just re-sell these plates.
They arent bent btw i got em back and one plate itself is a little crooked by not laying flat when on a table but when i screwed them on my Jeep it laied flat and was fine. But the "bent" corners in questions were not bent.. I laied my 6 plates on top of each and took pics for ebay to see and they agreed

I swear, people either want to charge insane prices for stuff or they want it for free anymore...makes me content with what I have as well as being talented enough to make my own in most cases.
I'm wondering why you got your parts and more than your shipping back.

I have no idea lol. I didnt even ask for that.. I called to ask for my negative rating to be removed because when i got my plates bwck they werent damaged like he claimed so he costed me money in shipping a bunch of grief wasted my time and lied by leaving a bad review.
The lady came back after reviewing the emails he sent me and so forth and said she was giving me the 57 and removing the bad review.
I was like oh... okay lol
