The Buick 350 is a good engine. Shares a few common design ideas with AMC V8's (They had the same designer). After market support is pretty limited, just like with AMC V8's.
That engine will not bolt up to your transmission, just in case you were thinking of a swap. The Buick powered rigs used a different transmission with an adapter ring.
Despite being the most neglected and abused engine I run, the Buick 350 in my pickup is the best running V8 on the property. Still wearing points and condenser. Haven't taken the distributor cap off ever. <...if it ain't broke, don't fix it...> I love this engine.
ok, so how hard would it be to find a flywheel for a manual tranny for this engine? I have a T176 or a NV3550 5 speed. or, are there other easily found options?

That would probably need to be asked on a Buick forum. But I assume the answer is none. Outside of the two(?) manual transmissions that were offered in cars with the BOPC bolt pattern. Which as I recall were the Muncie M21/M22 and the T10. Not sure if either of these use the same transmission side pattern as the T176 or NV based transmissions.
Personally if I was looking for an engine swap, I would go with something that has more support, not less.
Keep in mind the FSY Bellhousing was significantly different that a typical BOP passenger car of Jeep CJ unit. Flywheels were all similar I believe, although common Jeep 225 V6 units may require rebalance to work. TA Performance sells new flywheels, but at a price.
