Hey,
Over the last couple of months, my GW has been getting harder and harder to start. Oh, she starts. Eventually. Usually takes 4 to 6 cranks, drains the battery then va-ROOM. Belts squeal, meter shoots to 60, and it runs and we're good to go. Turn it off and it does the SAME thing. Well, minus the belts squawking. After she starts and it runs a bit the meter goes back to just a bit past 0 on the right. Like normal. I was getting worried that my Alt was dying, so I checked the battery while running, 14.7. I checked the CCH on my load tester... says it's good.
Then today I went to start her up and the starter would not stop cranking. I hopped out and disconnected the battery and that is where I am now. So I have thought of a few things it could be... and in no particular order:
** Starter
** Solenoid
** Alternator
** ?????
I know I have a trickle power loss ... somewhere... but I don't think this has alot to do with my starting issue due to the fact that prior to July, she always started on the 2nd or 3rd crank. However, I just got a new voltmeter this past weekend (after my nephew's YJ decided to commit seppuku on a trail) and was going to run though some things this coming weekend.
Any ideas would be awesome!
Thanks!
