Quick question... I want to clean out the driver side vent. I think it's plugged; no air comes through and I see that the parking brake is in the way. I have looked at the TSM and have yet to find the "Take this apart this way" section for it. There were some very nice pics online before Photobucket went and killed the interwebs. So... do I have to disconnect or loosen the cable anywhere else besides down by the firewall? I want to clean this out as I am sure there is gunk in there and to have air flowing thru the cab would be good. The passenger side vent is clear and has free flowing air.
Thanks!

whats odd for me is my vents are full of leaves.. but they never get wet.. it can rain like a hurricane and the leaves are still dry as a bone.. yet i do get air from the vents wgen im driving.. so what does this mean ?
do the vents have a baffle above them to direct water away ?

This means you probably have a blockage on the top of your cowl. There is a spot welded flange at the side just before the cowl edge that often channels water down to the lower drain. Lighter objects like leaves end up getting blown into the cowl/kick-panel space where they eventually plug the drain.

Hmm, i really need to invest in a borescope so i can see whats going on in the cowl. Plus a scope like that would help a lot for anything vehicle and non vehicle related.. cant tell how many times ive needed to see inside something lol
