Sending unit replacement pickup 2" too short

Every one I have seen has been like that....I used a piece of hose to extend it.

All of the aftermarket replacements are like that. They are garbage. The sock on my old one was in good shape so I used it.
The pipe lengths are just about the same, its just the dang sock.
