Who bought the early 70's step side in Nucla?

Post by HOOT »

I stopped by the junkyard outside of Nucla ,CO and the little green step side has finally either been moved out of sight or sold.
Just curious if it was someone on here or not.

I first saw that thing around 2004. I hope it got a good home.

I've been eyeballing it since 2006. Showed up with a wad of cash a few years ago and he would never return my calls. I did get to talk to his Mom for a while and she let me rummage around the property as long as I didn't go opening up stuff. That was a sweet truck.

That happened to me while driving through Thayer, MO for years. A Stinson 108 was sitting in pieces by a house. I stopped and spoke with the owner several times. After years of stopping I was driving through and it was gone. I stopped to ask who he had finally sold it to. He had not, a tornado had taken it away. He then said he wished he had sold it to me. At least it got to fly one last time.
