Yes, it went into my 75 when I put the doors and harness in.

My '84 only goes to 85. I was wondering what year they changed that.

Who remembers the national speed limit being 55?

When was it repealed?

All my cars have been old enough that the line for 55 was a different color.

The speedometer range depends on the year. In the 80's vehicles were taxed based on their max speed, which is oddly judged off the speedometer. Every 80's FSJ I have seen has an 85 limit. My '75 had a 120 speedo.

Thanks for the responses.

If my memory servers me right:

73-75 go to 120

76-78 go to 100

79-85 go to 85 however, I have had a few people report back that they have or had 85s with 100 mph speedo, including trucks. With that, I have learned something new...

86-91 I thought the were are all the same and go to 100. I haven't paid as much attention to these though.

63-72 I have seen 100 mph and also 110 mph but haven't really kept track which was which and in what year.

I have a Canadian instrument in my '84 that goes to 160KM. It was NOS unit that I put in the Ugly Truck when I re-did the dash
