Hmmm. The black one looks nicer body wise. Interior bits aren't too bad to find. The almond one is gonna need quite a bit of body/paint/mechanical work for $7k.

Almond one is a 3k wagoneer, too much body rust is going to be a pain to fix.

Id get the black one.. even though those rims are fugly as with the auto zone steering wheel lol

The black one looks like a good buy if it runs as well as it looks. Is it at a dealership? Have them emissions test it before you buy it. :- )

In CO, dealers are required to do that. But KS could be different.

I looked at mine. And it looks like the foot area dome light. Like someone said.

I wouldn't pay 8$k for it.. I'd start low and go from there. Offer them 4500$ and negotiate from there. I'd bring a friend a long as well to strengthen your side that's what I did and was able to chew the previous owner from 7500 to 4500 on mine. A dealership might be harder but ya.

Nit pick the Jeep mention any rust you find. Mention the missing interior trim like the door armrest.pulls in the back and the missing wood metal trim on the passenger door. The missing and broken air vents. The missing original steering wheel and missing original rims. The weird wires coming out of the air vent.. Mention the torn drivers seat and cracked center arm rest. The headliner if it's sagging mention that as well. I'm sure you can knock a couple grand off the jeep

Note any oil leaks and go after them for that. Note slow window motors if they are slow. Poke at everything lol. Missing the ashtray as well. Ask them to pull up the carpets and look at the floor board specially the lower corners by the bench seat.passenger doors. Before the step up.

I'd also ask to look at the wiring under the drivers seat.carpet in my experience the plugs down there get wet corode and burn holes in the carpet and cause the interior lights to no longer work.

Oh and of course make sure it shifts in 3 gears just fine.. listen for ticking and exhaust leaks on the manifolds. If the carb is working properly it should start with 1 pump to be honest.. maybe 2.

Be carefully how you nit pick. Do it the wrong way you could piss off the owner and not get a chance to buy it. Depends on how badly they want to sell it. That being said, I think its ok to nit pick a car at the dealer.

I'm pretty sure it's been posted before and it didn't sell so they maybe have already come down a bit on price or they are holding out for too much.... either way I'll approach cautiously on negotiations and examination on the jeep.

Well my jeep was for sale for 2 hours on craogslist.. I called him first and met him first and put a 500$ deposit first and bought it first so yea.. he wither despretlt needed it gone or not. All I know is his wife wanted it gone and he just got married.

He was a hipster guy though and asked me if I was mechanic because of everything I noticed wrong with it.. he asked how I could tell wheel bearings were bad by just listeninh.. so sometimes you'll also get the stupid owner like I did too

Obviously there is some rust. Guy claims 7k miles on carb and tranny rebuild. "Phenomenal maintenance" with records.

Only thing I see is the wrong sized battery. Looks like all the emissions stuff is there. Could be a winner?

Anybody in front range area that's more knowledgeable than me want to go check it out with me some Saturday or Sunday afternoon/evening soon?!?! I'm not really sure what the guy is hoping to get out of it. The ad is very vague and lists the price at $12345...... I'm still looking at our Jeep budget. Good news is my wife got a small raise and I have a job interview today that should put some more cash in my pocket... fingers crossed!
