New in SLC UT

Post by Utscout »

Hello! I'm Scott from Salt Lake City Utah. I didn't even know this site existed! I'm so glad I found you guys. I have owned 17 jeeps since I was 16 years old and my first was a '78 J10 golden eagle that I owned for 22 years. I have built rock crawlers and stock resto's both and love it. I look forward to getting all kinds of valuable information and associates here!

I've been without any jeep at all for 2 years and I finally got back in the game a month ago. I picked up: 1972 J2000: doesn't run, 1978 J10: runs for about 60 seconds & a 1989 Waggy: runs and drives but will need some love. I'll get some pics up soon, but I'm focusing on the Waggy as a daily driver first then I'll get one of the trucks running and go from there.

A Merry Christmas to you all. Also: good health, family and fortune to you all!

Right on scout Scott! I ran around with a bunch of 19Ds when I was a 13F, before becoming a 12B but after being an MM (forced on me when they did away with BT). Look forward to some pics of the jeeps!

Welcome- we can always use more knowledgeable folks!

There's a Super Wagoneer somewhere in your city sitting in the back of some industrial building!

*1976 F100 "UGLY" I'll finish it... one day... *UPDATE- negative, ghost rider. It has died so others may live.*

I wonder if this is the one I just picked up. He got it from a guy who just had it out sitting for years. Was this it?

Hey Guys,
Thanks for everyone's replies, I've been out for a while. Scout camps, girls camps and my father in law has stage 4 colon cancer. It's been a rough summer. I finally have some time to work on the waggy. I need a bunch of parts for the tailgate and I'd like to swap the 2bbl intake for a 4bbl. After pricing parts online I think it would be better to get a donor waggy. I found one but its twice what I'll pay, I'll work on it. I'll get some pics up first though. I have some questions:
1) how do I enable 3 party hosting so I can see others pics?
2) Where do I post my project at?
3) Dustin, can you pm me the hours and address at Zephyr's Speed Shop in Cedar? I'm going to a family reunion in Mesquite the first week of August, I'll stop in!:D
Thanks again everyone!

Hello All. Its been years but I am back at in on the Jeeps. My son just turned 15 and got his learners so he wants to do the J10 Pickup. We are thinking a frame off. I'm getting that 89 Waggy going for my DD.
