Vent window (65 mph ac) help

Post by bearfighter13 »

Both of my vent windows are loose and won’t stay in place. I tried tightening the nut located inside the door directly underneath the window (see pic) to no avail. Any advice would be appreciated. Image

You sure that rusty nut moved? Maybe the whole pivot turned?

You need to hold the flats of the bolt with a small Crescent wrench while you tighten the nut.

Ok I’m not sure and I will try again with a crescent wrench and some wd40 and see what happens! When I did try it turned a few times and then it felt like the bolt was going to snap. Thanks guys!
