SJs at Chimney Rock

Post by Locked and Loaded »

Did Chimney Rock Trail on Saturday. From the looks of the trail I'd say it doesn't get used much. We had it all to ourselves. Weather was perfect.

Haha! Whenever I see Tad's rig on pavement, I think it's so ugly, but once it's in dirt, it's everything I wish my truck was! Thanks for sharing your day with us!

JoshD's rig rules. His truck has some mods I'm looking forward to doing on mine some day. He has an excellent thread on his Dodge D150 front D44 axle swap on ifsja - an excellent way to go to get front discs on a drum brake J truck that also keeps the 5 on 5.5 lug pattern and gets you open knuckles. (Can you tell I really dig that truck?) :-bd
73 J4000. 360, MC 2100, T18A, D20, stock closed knuckle Dana 44 front, 60-2 rear. Warn Lock-O-Matics, Warn/Belleview electric winch, true duals with glasspacks, old-school front diff skid plate, used 265 Toyos on 16" AR wheels.
