Went to the air show today. We had originally planned it as something to take the FIL to but when he didn't come we got stuck with 3 tickets (prepaid). When we got there we found an old guy in a WWll veteran hat standing in line so we gave the "extra" ticket to him.
Wife isn't really into planes and such but was having fun by the time we left. She hates flying but when the acrobatic biplane started doing his thing she was amazed. Image
Lots of cool old aircraft, some newer stuff, and a smidgen of vehicles and static displays. I was surprised at the length of the line of people wanting to see inside a C130. Not me. My butt hurt just thinking about the "seats" in it.
I took a bunch of pictures but will only post a few. Not sure how many here would enjoy them.

I have kind of a love-hate with the A10 Warthog but seeing it flying with a beautiful P38 lightning was awesome! I don't get very excited over jets but the A10 is an awesome platform.
Image

Of course I took pics of the jeeps N trucks.

I don't mind the plane pics. Getting a pilot's license is on my bucket list.

edit to add random pic (my hunting utensil):

My first "harvest" ever. Just took the hunter safety course last summer. Smallish buck Antelope. About 34lbs of meat.

If it's like all the pronghorn I've taken it's going to taste like sagebrush unless you soak it in buttermilk.

Everything but the tenderloins is sausage, now. Haven't had any of the breakfast sausage yet but the summer sausage is awesome; no "sagebrush" taste, at all. I had it professionally processed, and in my experience, Antelope tastes a lot better if it doesn't get a chance to run and get heated up. I hit the spine, clean through the neck so he didn't move. He was hanging in a cooler, at the processor, less than two hours later.

Just asking.

You're right, I have found this to be true of deer too. My kids and I used to go Antelope hunting a lot but I haven't since we left Wyoming over 20 years ago but next year I'm going to try to go and take the grand kids.

I was always more fond of seafood personally. Wild hoofed animals are OK, but I like shark fillets better. This is my sister and I 40 years ago on a family shark hunt. Sharks this size (11 + feet) can produce 125# fillet from each side.

Anyone know what those two white square looking things are on the stop light in this pic?

Those two white square panels look like radio links for network connectivity. Probably for the camera(s).

Makes sense- it’s the only place in the area that I’ve seen that has them.
