They could also be targets for emergency vehicles to change the light to green.

That emergency light bypass looks different in this area anyway- it looks like a single light facing traffic with a sensor usually close by- like the thing to the right of the white boxes.

Those look like the latest version of Shotspotter.

Something is up with the forum. I know I've seen tons of duplicate threads, but now it happened to me. I hit "submit", and it showed me the "preview" instead. I hit submit again and then it double posted.

Shotspotter is the directional locator for gunfire. What's that system called that traces cell phones, any idea?

Lots of cities here in california use shot spotter, and it has proven to work well.

Asked one of the guys at work and his input is that it might be an infrared light source for traffic cameras during nighttime. Might be the camera just to the right.

Think of the radio link as a connectivity component on the Traffic System Network.

In this example, the radio link would be part of the fiber link from the Traffic Mgmt Center.
