I was invited to check this place out. As advertised it looks like the place to be if your into Fsj's. On other forums I'm known as Metal Twister. I have a 74 Cherokee that I am enjoying the process of modifying for So Cal desert fun runs and as a DD. Its been a couple of years in it's transition and while it runs and drives it still is not where it needs to be to be considered reliable. So with your help and lots of reading and wrenching I hope to get there one day soon. Nice looking site and glad to see a modern, current, updated FSJ Site for us to use. Lots of old friends here so I'm sure it will feel like home in no time.

I am to old and fat to be a guru, I can't get my knees to bend enough to get my heels up in my lap! The head monk at the buddist temple I wired used to use that as a negotiating tactic no desk and chairs in his office everything was done sitting on the floor!

LOL That was back in 2001, my knees used to work back then. Getting up off the ground now requires something to grab hold of and pulling myself up. I am a long ways from my body building days and pay for the stress I used to put my body through back then. To tell you the truth I never knew his name, if I ever heard it I doubt if i could have pronounced it. All in all it was an interesting collision of cultures
1. You didn't initiate any touching as in shaking hands, because he was considered to be the avater of Budda. Yet when he had a question about the electrical system he couldn't just ask me he would come up to me grab me by the hand a lead me to where he thought there was a problem. This used to upset my crew they couldn't believe I would walk through the job site holding his hand, even after I explained to them that in his eyes he was conveying a great boon to touch me it bothered some of them.
2. Women do not speak to him unless he speaks to them first. This led to an interesting incident with the general contractors wife who was actully running the job because the general was working on another job out of town. When introduce she grabbed his hand and started chattering away, which almost caused the contract to be canceled!
