Niagara gorge trip (w/Video clips)

Post by Blazer3664 »

Posted on the mother-ship as well, but it may vanish with that site one day, so......

Just got back from our 10th anniversary @Niagara.
Thought you all might enjoy a couple short (1-1.5 minute) videos. We took some self guided tours of the gorge trail system, and detoured on some of the locals hang-out/fishing trails. Total hike this particular day.....~22 miles, followed by the stairs coming out of Devils Hole. Let me tell ya, those stairs could kill from exhaustion. Rough carved stone, uneven, of various heights, OH YEA ..... 300'+ ELEVATION CHANGE!!
Do you know how many stairs that is???? I didnt think so. Its about a gazilion if you are going up though.

Sorry about the audio, it was just a bit windy. The cold water, and rapids keeps it windy pretty much all the time when you get close to the water I guess. Wasn't that windy elsewhere, just towards the river.

(Bonus points if you spot my almost "Ooops". The area has some ball-bearing like gravel here and there and I stepped on some, just about went for a flight................ with a bad landing .

Glad you had a good time. I'd love to go back there for a weekend at least. I did alot of work in Toronto and would go to Niagra on my time off instead of flying back home.
