I have moved a build thread over from there, just to keep a file of it somewhere.

I view this site more like the newly discovered neighborhood bar. :) Where "everybody knows your name"...and you have your own stool reserved. But hurry and stake-your-claim...the stools are going fast. :-bd

I like this site (wish it was vbulletin) and plan to post some tech on here (If yall don't mind my junk being on here). The ifsja is apparently owned by some absentee landlords and is liable to go offline at anytime. Great moderators tho :)

We need more traffic over here so we can keep the tech going.

Thinking about creating a build thread for the TBI installation. I have a feeling I'll be doing some engine work too...

Traffic is certainly the key to keeping it going. And even now that IFSJA is back up, traffic here is still triple what it was last week.

Yeah, its EXTREMELY nice to be able to quickly log on from anywhere. Especially if you break down and need a hand diagnosing or something.

I got a sense immediately that problems/suggestions here were attended to (Brandon rocks!) more than the other site. Also this site is visually and operationally more pleasing to me. Me being a nitpicky internet dork can't grasp that the most populous/popular FSJ forum doesn't even have a favicon by its name for easy bookmark identification. The IFSJA site just looks...so Y2K. And it never appeared that change or suggestions were welcomed. Maybe I'm way off base.

I'll still search iFSJa for tech, but I will be here daily.

X2, but this site is nice, I like the other jeep tech section, that is separate from off topic. I also agree 100% on the tapatalk function. Its now one of the first things I check on my iphone. There are also so many smilies but we are missing this one Image

It's not because we don't want to act on some suggestions, a lot of suggestions we CAN'T act on. And the explanations as to why get old after 10+ years.

It'll continue to look "Y2K" until it really does keel over and die, we can't do anything with it.

As for me (and the rest of the Mods there...) I'm kind of obligated to be there. A labor of love if you will.

I love IFSJA !!! :) I have checked it at least once a day since I was "sent there" years ago to monitor something for bigun...when he couldn't get on-line for some reason now lost-to-history.

I didn't join right away; but I've been there since the era of the "Bob soap opera" . :))

My only gripe is that Off Topic was closed to everyone who doesn't have enough posts racked-up. I absolutely understand the Reason for that. I do !! IFSJA is a site for serious FSJ-aficionados. :-bd

Yet without being able even to read the chatting on Off Topic, it's impossible for new members to get acquainted and figure-out who is who, etc. IMHO a lot of the comraderie` between people builds by learning more about them, eg...what else do they do, enjoy, get themselves into, what they're coping with, etc...in addition to owning COOL FSJ's. I feel like I KNOW many of you from back-when; but I know nuthin' about nobody "new".

Does this make any sense....? Probably not. #-o

Lindel, I understand where the limitations stem from. I was speaking more to the lack of effort on the owner's part and how little can get done because of that. I apologize for not being clear enough. You and the others have never been anything short of excellent.

Absolutely. The amount of information and comraderie is fantastic over at IFSJA despite the technical ups and downs.

Both sites here as well. Not much going on with me right now though, so I been pretty quiet.
Going on vacation next week, so money spending is out till we get back. When we both go back to work and get some funds built back up, I'll be posting some progress pics.......... I hope.

Getting close to being able to drive it, then the progress should pick up.
