Finally home

Post by Gumby »

I got my junk loaded in my trailer last week. Well I finally got it started and parked it in my driveway again in order to start the process of getting it ready for the road and Ouray. There are a few issues left to be worked out before I can get a new exhaust built for that thing. Right now most is on ethe back burner due to finals coming up. But as soon as that is done and one other task is complete..... The madness will be in my garage. Hoping to get most done for F&K's visit but we will see what happens. Currently there are no major leaks. Need to work on tuning, cosmetics, some mechanical (minor), brakes, hubs (manual) and fluid changes (diffs, T-case). Then it should be road worthy.

I bet it feels good to have it home. Looking forward to seeing it in a few weeks. :)

I just could not help myself.... I got in and put in the new mustang seat and the 208 shifter. Cant believe the difference between it and the original seat.

I have been looking for seats for my J10. I have buckets in there now that suck. What year seats did you use and did it require any modding?

Sorry Stuka but I got lucky on the seats, got them from a member on the "mother ship". They seem to be from the mid '90's mustang and he used the waggy bases. They have full ower just need to make a mount for the controls and possibly power the lumbar support. The drivers side fits like a glove. I will let you know how the assenger side works out. Should be the same but until I do it I wont say.

Stuka... the seats are from a 1994 mustang. Both seats fit like a glove and I like them kinda reminds me of my 88 LX.

I have a set of Grand Cherokee seats in my J-20 and love them. I even have the power hooked up. The only thing I dont like is they dont fold forward, so I filled those cavities with speaker boxes... :D

The ones that I had from a GC were good seats but they set too high not much room between the seat and the steering wheel.
