“Other Jeeps of Interest in your Area” Thread

Post by 66stepside »

What happened to the awesome thread “Other Jeeps of Interest in your Area”?

The links on a google search end up with an error message as do the links in my subscription section on Tapatalk. A search of the forum also comes up empty.

Am I just getting old and senile, or did the thread somehow get lost? Or both?

I knew you started that great thread. It was yours to keep, or not. It’s all good. Thanks for letting me know.

I came across this Jeep and was sitting on the pics til I could find the tread.

I know patina is all the rage these days, but this one was a bit too far out there for me. Although I did wonder at the time how it would clean up with a solid scrubbing. I passed on her, though.

It was a pretty good thread but no regerts. ;)

That Waggy just needs WD-40, a red rag and some elbow grease. I am fresh out of elbow grease. :-bd

This one could use it too.

Haha, I seriously considered getting it just to see what the patina would end up like. But, I’d like to think I’m learning to mend my evil ways, so I let my curiosity go.

That’s a great pic- worthy of a calendar.

Holy rusty metal Batman! That game trail around it is pretty cool, too.

Whoa, what’s the story there?

I took some back roads to drop my son off for school and saw this one less than a mile from my house.

I’ve seen the Jeep around, but never knew he lived so close.

I’m not sure - they’ve always had German cars in there. My neighbor said they had a truck “like mine” out front so I drove by and found a herd!

There’s been one of those for sale in Eastern Oregon (Pendleton), for the past 2 years- 8k. All this time the price hasn’t budged.

The high plains of CO, looks like the high plains of Washington State- beautiful.

What are your plans for the CJ2a, and is that the High Hood Type?

It needs a lot of work but I’m excited about it - new floor pans, motor hasn’t turned in who knows how long, steering isn’t hooked up. Lots to do. But I only paid $500 and it came with a good title so I think I did alright. It’s so tiny parked next to the jtruck!

That sounds like a good deal. JP Magazine did a write up of build years ago of a similar Jeep- a baby blue with a great patina. Those classic lines look great no matter what- it’ll be a cool build for you.

I thought so. 44 is lucky to have that early Jeep- so are you. Sadly, I’m fresh out of space for my Jeep addiction.
