1977 Jeep j10 Golden Eagle

Post by BlobSnarkOxagon »

i'm looking at buying this 1977 j10 Golden Eagle. the guy is asking for $3,700 OBO (Canadian), but i'm unsure of what a closer to real value may be and what kind of project i may be getting my hands on. This is currently in Canada and the area i live in doesn't use much salt since it gets so cold that it stops melting the ice. We use sand/grit instead.

Does anyone have any experience with these? How hard to is to make mods (i'm relatively new to working on my own vehicles)?

*note: currently in running condition with 360, 99,000km (61,000 Miles).

Looks like an absolute steal to me if it's actually not rusty. doesn't have the Levis option unfortunately but it's very original and it's all there including the wheels, roll bar and brush guard. the full reproduction decal sets are available .

I paid 4K for a 1978 one just like it in not quite as good of shape but 100% rust free. I'm doing a high quality full restoration to original specs , I don't care what it costs I've wanted one of these since 1977. I would by this one in a second if it were in my area for that money.

Even if you just got it running and fixed what had to be fixed you'd have a very rare cool rig and not out a lot of money.

I was looking at this one. Think you missed last sentence. There is a second unit included for parts. Go for it and will stand by. If you do go for it see what shape the spare unit in. Maybe sell it.

A buddy of mine was eyeing it up as well.... kijiji creepers we are.

IDK, it looks like the rear bed seams are shot. With no rust that is a good price but if the floors or bead seams are rusted, I wouldnt pay more than $2K
