Excuses

Post by Shagoneer »

I was driving around town a couple days ago and saw an m725 ambulance with the drive train pulled for sale. So what's a good excuse for me to tell my wife for why we need yet another project car (I have the camaro, plus her dad and I are doing an MG midget, and a 30s pickup, and we are in the middle of rebuilding the engine on one of our tractors)

Compare the purchase to how many pairs of shoes she has. She's got more than one pair, right? More than 10 pairs? Aha... Point made.

It's an ambulance. Who wouldn't want their own ambulance. Totally cuts down on the wait time.

Tell her it's to take the family camping...then just use it as a bug-out vehicle to get away from the family.

Considering she told me I could get one of the new wrangler trucks when they come out if I can get decent financing, that may be my ticket.

My wife wasn't fond of my GW when I brought it home. Something about jumping on a plane to Florida to go get it and then not being able to drive it home. Anyway, at one point, after she was starting to get past all that, we were out driving and she saw a nice JK and said "wouldn't you rather just have one of those?" I quickly brought her up to speed on the costs of new and even several years old Jeeps and how I don't like the engines and so forth. She was dumbfounded by the price and I think when mine is done she'll really like it, even if she totaled up all the receipts haha

Still working on it. I’m simultaneously true to convince her I need an m725 and that we need to get my daughter a puppy.

My wife isn’t a dog person but I am, and NOTHING makes my daughter happier than dogs/puppies. I even found a REALLY cute German shorthaired pointer from a reputable breeder but my wife isn’t going for it.
