Are you referring to the total hilux?
It's been a "combat vehicle" for decades...

Only the hilux, not the secretary, because the french are so focused on buying french made equipment... except last year, they will go german for their rifle/assault rifle, the Heckler & Koch HK416F will be the French Army's new service rifle.

The French had a pretty good basic rifle in the FAMAS. I spent some trigger time with some of their stuff in the late 90s. I liked that the FAMAS could be changed from rt to lefty shooting pretty easy. The bullpup design wasn't all that comfy but I'm a little used to my M4 so I'm jaded.
Some of their gear was pretty good. They have (had?) A decent version of a scout car. Small like a shrunken MRAP, built with over pressurization for NBC, had working AC, pretty nimble.
Guess they have reached the end of much of that stuff and are shopping for new gear they don't have to invest in developing? *Shrugs*

The pickup is actually a LandCruiser of all things.
I never knew there was a pickup version.
Front to rear: 249, SCAR, Benelli, Bullpup modular rifle (VHS K2?) and 240 on the Toyota.

I like how she has both hands behind her back like she is afraid that one of the firearms would jump off the table into her hands, and start shooting people

Other countries get all the cool landcruisers for sure. All we get are the watered down versions (which are still the best 4x4 ever made by man)

The HK416 is replacing the M4. Funny since the HK416 is just a exernal gas piston version of the M4.

They don't have to re-train on field stripping and such. And I wish it was an "eternal" piston! I could use one of those on my AR!

Stupid tiny IPad keyboard.

And there is slight retraining. External piston designs periodically need the gas system cleaned.

Colt designed several versions of external gas piston m16's and m4's, but the military wasn't interested.
