Only mod right now is a muffler delete, which sounds good and zero drone. The V6 actually sounds really good with the same setup.
Turbo is probably the only decent way to go up Sonora pass, good choice.
I had the occasion to drive a saab 4cyl turbo eons ago, it was a fun car to go up to the sierras, and eastern sierras, fortunately I did not have to pay for maintenance.
The 85 was crawling going up sonora pass, then the fan clutch decided to give up right after the 26% grade, so I had to stop, put the cone / triangle and wait 30 min, then repeat every 15mins... at some point I decided to go low range and 15mph did not seem to challenge the lock up front/rear axle, which help on the cooling with the heat on full ...
