So far 3 of us from the MAFSJC up in New Jersey are planning on coming down. Only 1 of us has a complete and ready to run FSJ  Gotta get a move on only a few months left.

There are several chain hotels in Albemarle, NC and if you search for cabin rentals near Uwharrie, you might find a suitable place to stay only minutes from the trails.

Parts at ECI?

Post by CheapJeepBrad »

10 days to go. I'd like to load up the J10 with stuff anybody might need/want to buy/sell/trade. Mostly interested in bringing big/heavy or fragile stuff that's costly to ship.

Here's some items I'd like to trade out or sell:

Doors - new and old style
Hood
360 short block
tf727 trans
stock 2 and four barrel intakes
glass - door, rear windows for jtruck and wagon
wheels - slots
grilles
J10 gas tank -new in box

Here's what I'm hunting:

1. Folding bucket seats
2. winch bumper -low profile, no prerunner or tube stuff
3. rear tire swing out bumper or internal tire carrier
4. 76-78 cherokee interior tan or brown
5. winch
6. Cheese grater grille
7. cherokee gas tank and skid plate.

Shoot me a PM if you have these or want me to bring something for you. I have a bunch of small stuff too.

Info from the Forest Service:
Young Anglers Invited to Badin Lake for Annual Kids Fishing Day
Release Date: Jun 1, 2016
TROY, NC – The Uwharrie National Forest will be hosting Kids Fishing Day at Badin Lake on June 11 at the Kings Mountain Point facility in the Badin Lake Recreation Area from 9 am to noon.
The event encourages families and friends to share fun and quality outdoor time together while learning about one of our nation’s favorite pastimes – fishing. The Uwharrie National Forest will provide fishing assistance and free fishing poles and supplies for kids under the age of 13, while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded by age group and category.
No experience is needed for families to participate in this event. A hot dog lunch will be provided at noon to all who participate.
Young anglers registered at this event are eligible to enter a statewide drawing for fishing-related prizes, such as tackle boxes, rod and reels, fish playing cards, fishing towels and much more. The grand prize, a lifetime sportsman license that includes fishing and hunting privileges, is generously donated by Neuse Sport Shop, located in Kinston. Other fishing-related prizes and lunch have been donated by the North Carolina State Council of Trout Unlimited, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, Friends of Uwharrie, and the Uwharrie National Forest.
This fishing event at Badin Lake is conducted as part of National Fishing and Boating Week, which occurs the first two weeks in June. For a list of other free fishing day events this year, go to http://go.usa.gov/cSkyP.
For more information on Kids Fishing Day at Badin Lake, contact the Uwharrie National Forest at 910-576-6391.

Looks like we will BE THERE! Sans an FSJ, but there none the less. My GW is in the shop getting WT rear flares made, bodywork and paint ( :P ) and the J-truck isn't going to deliver the bride and 2 pooches from VA. I will be in the YJ mutt.

We will arrive Friday, so someone save us a shady spot! Looking forward to relaxing and seeing everyone's rigs and modifications.
I have a cheese grater that is in ok shape, but someone painted it gray. I will ask the bride to toss it in the trailer when she comes.

If anyone has a set of 80's J-20 axles laying around and wants to bring them..
I am also looking for the metal trim pieces that go around the top of GW doors. Specifically, the tops of both rear doors and the vertical pieces for the front doors. Have a few members working on pulling a set, but if your close..all the better.
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.

Anyone have a hood bar they are willing to part with and bring? Haven't fully decided on adding one with the razor grill going on my waggy, but is seems like the right thing to do..

Jpswapmohn sorry about not getting back to you before on the axle measurements, I'll be there this weekend hopefully with the wagon and we can measure some stuff out if you still want to. I do think I have a hood bar laying around with a small dent in it. I'll try and find it and throw it in with my stuff.
