Wow that is ugly. Looks like it might be exhaust tubing? How thick is it? Probably could have even an exhaust shop weld it up. Just make sure it is good and clean.

That's sucks! Maybe next year. I am always both impressed and happy that you make the multi hour journey when you can. You may live in Texas but you are part of the AZ club!

Well, this may come as no surprise but I'm out too. Really was trying to figure out a way to make it. Need to catch a run one of these months. I have a little free time during the week now...

JR,
went back and read your original story. Pretty cool. I too am an original family owner. My parents bought mine new when I was 2 years old. I have every receipt that has gone into that thing including the original window sticker and business card from the sales man. Shes got 328,000 miles on her, and yup, she sometimes feels her age. My wife Kristen affectionately refers to her as my mistress. She's not too far off. Looking forward to meeting you this weekend. If ya ever need help with the jeep or more specifically the Quadratrac, I have a ton of QT experience and even have one of the Miller Tool Quadratrac tool kits referenced in the Service Manuals. I live in Gilbert, and work for Chandler.

Not sure what to bring yet. Open to ideas. Wife is now joining me. Not camping. Wife says camping is only to be done at the Ritz-Carlton.

If nothing else bring something to snack on before the feast! I will be making cheese crisps, heating some pizza snack things (the kids love em) and whatnot. Any kind of finger food appetizer is good. We snack a little in the early afternoon before all of the feasting starts!

I'll have the QBQue there grilling up some spicy chicken tenders that go great with cheese crisps.

Derek is going to show up. I don't know what he might bring to eat. At this point I think the food part is covered. ;)

My jeep may not be ready tomorrow... But I will show up either way!

that's cool about Derek, haven't seen him in a long time.

Sucks about your jeep. Not gonna pick it up anyway?

I probably could but then I have to drop it off again which means extra trips for the better half, me being late for work again, etc.

I left my notes about the carb at work. Blue gasket, 50 something pump and a power valve right?
