Colorado: Mosquito Pass, August 29, 9:00am

Post by shimniok »

Votes are in. Mosquito Pass on August 29, 9:00 am in Confier at the Bradley(?) Gas Station: 10800 Co Rd 73, Conifer, CO 80433 (map)

About Mosquito Pass:
Rated 4/10, it's a somewhat rocky stagecoach road that takes you from Hwy 9, Alma to Hwy 91, Leadville. The scenery is a-mazing and the road is one of the highest pass roads in Colorado. Plus, there's a really cool mine complex with buildings in good condition.

This is a good idea. I'd be game to run an easier trail in the Waggy but I could bring my truck if you guys want to run something harder.

How about Lost Canyon by Leadville? Or Mosquito pass?

Alright, let's do Mosquito Pass!

What dates are you available? Use the poll to pick dates you can make it, k?

Fremont is on hwy 91 between Leadville and Copper Mountain. It gets you back to I-70. Whereas Weston gets you back to 285, and is rough dirt.

I just mean for people that wanted to do another trail they could come back on Weston after finishing Mosquito Pass since they are close to each other on the Leadville side. :)

True. I wonder if the Golden Burro is still open.

Apparently it is, and still for sale. Only $710,000.
