Globe , Az

Post by rstep »

Looking at a run and camp the 26-27 April up in the Globe area.
Jerry got maps of the area .
Tucson will be heading up between 5-6 am and stopping for breakfast.
Will be too hot soon for wheeling down here and it's time to prep for the Aspins

aztec peak is a nice area. The wheel'n isn't crazy but the altitude makes it nice as we warm up down here in the valley (and the old pueblo)

Since I'm here I may as well be "That" guy and ask the questions. How difficult is this trail? Have any of you ran it? I see it's a loop. Are we running the more difficult part on Saturday or Sunday? Looks like fun.

Woof-Achoo!
That's better, Em's in.

Jeff, you mean the FR221 to the south?
Never done any of this before.

I figure we be on top by 11:am
Be bored by noon,
There's the Bobtail mine stuff on 221, looks to be lower elevation.
We could push all the way to Pioneer Pass.
Maybe an hour or so out Sunday morning.

Is this still going on? The reason I ask is a couple of other things have popped up that weekend. Shauna has told them we are going camping that weekend. Then she asks me for more details on the trip. So is the 26th and 27th set in stone? Where are we meeting? So far we will still be there.
